Negotiating Danger: Contemporary Javanese Scrolls Exhibition

The Spirit of Sculptors
Venue: Museum Pier
Exhibition Dates: 8 September – 31 October
An academic sculpture exhibition at Museum Pier presenting works in the classical tradition, with pieces connected to Silpa Bhirasri alongside sculptors Watchara Prayoonkum and Vayupad Ruttanapet. Open daily, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
On James Turrell — Art and Landscape
Venue: Dib Bangkok
Talk: 11 September (6:00 PM – 6:45 PM)
The sixth edition of Dib Bangkok's Reflection Series, an intimate conversation led by director Dr. Miwako Tesuka that looks closely at the work of James Turrell. Held alongside the James Turrell Light Program, it explores his understanding of light, space and environment, and the relationship between human experience and deep time.
Reality or Dreams
Venue: Number 1 Gallery
Exhibition Dates: 12 September – 4 October
A solo exhibition by Natthawut Thammarueangrit at Number 1 Gallery, River City. Through oil paintings in sweet, dreamlike tones, the works open a space between beauty and imperfection, day and night, harsh reality and bright imagination, inviting viewers to find meaning in their own experience.
Layering Our Wishes
Venue: Bangkok Art Biennale
Workshop: 12 September
A participatory workshop and talk with South Korean artist Shin Min. Write a wish and it will be layered into her paper sculptures for Bangkok Art Biennale 2026, becoming part of a collective artwork shaped by its participants. Free admission with registration.
Early Years Project #9 – Meet the Judges

A talk at the Bangkok Art and Cultural Center where the judges of Early Years Project #9 share their perspectives, held alongside the exhibition Actions Speak Louder? From 3:00 to 5:00 PM.
Pink is my favorite color
Venue: GalileOasis
Exhibition Dates: 12 September – 12 October
A solo exhibition by Sasitorn Amornwachiramongkol at GalileOasis. Blending painting, animation and storytelling, she builds layered acrylic imagery that echoes the rhythm of stop-motion, inviting viewers to reclaim the aesthetic of pink through a mature, contemplative lens. Opening 12 September, 3:00 to 6:00 PM.
Ash and Alteration — Talk Program #2
Venue: JWD Art Space
Talk: 12 September (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
A conversation with literary critics Jirat Chalermsanyakorn and Artit Srijan, moderated by Sirapop Pornamnuaypol, held alongside the exhibition Ash and Alteration. The talk explores the dissolution and reconstitution of writing and poetic form through a reinterpretation of Angkarn Kalayanapong's work. Conducted in Thai, free of charge.
TRINITY
Venue: m Galleria
Exhibition Dates: 12 – 25 September
A group exhibition at m Galleria, River City, bringing together works by Nici Tierak, Philipp Rau and Uncle Nui. Opening reception 12 September, 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
Sunday Cinema
Venue: Bangkok Kunsthalle
Screening: 13 September (5:30 PM onwards)
Bangkok Kunsthalle presents Sunday Cinema, a biweekly film screening series curated by Rosalia Namsai Engchuan running through the second half of the year. Moving between Thai classics, contemporary world cinema and overlooked gems, it invites audiences to return to cinema as a shared experience. Free to attend, seating is limited, reserve via the venue.
